The Supreme Court has allowed the National Board of Examinations( NBE) to hold the NEET- PG 2025 test on August 3, 2025, in one session. This was a change to the previously announced date of June 15. While judges Prashant Kumar Mishra and Augustine George Masih of the NBE questioned the farther than two months’ detention in the holding of the examination, they stated that the reasons cited for holding NEET- PG 2025 on August 3 appear bona fide. latterly, the Apex court made it clear that no further time would be granted to NBE to conduct NEET- PG 2025.
On May 30, before ordering the NBE to conduct the NEET- PG 2025 examination in a single shift rather of two shifts, the Supreme Court ordered that the test be conducted on the previously wedged date of June 15, 2025. While granting the NBE authorization to seek an extension of time, the Court simultaneously ordered for the test to be conducted on that date. subsequently, on June 3, the NBE filed a plea for an extension, arguing that it demanded to double the number of examination centers and make security arrangements.
The SC said that no further time would be given to the NBE for the conduct of NEET PG 2025.
